Planet Hollywood Tokyo Keychain

Collectible Planet Hollywood keychain from Tokyo. What a pity the business was not sustainable and all the stores had to close. It was such a good concept to have a movie themed restaurant and have movie celebrities regularly turning up for promotions and special events. I guess there were too many celebrity shareholders, who were bound to have disagreements on the running of the cafes....
I frequented the Singapore outlet of the Planet Hollywood franchise a number of times and it felt special dining in the environment surrounded by movie memorabilia. And I miss their fabulous buffalo wings so much. Those were really the good times!

The Ring 'Sadako' Keychain

Shown here is the movie premium promoting the very scary sequel to the Japanese horror movie The Ring. If you are a fan of horror movies, this is 1 movie you have to watch. The movie is guaranteed to make you recall the horrific sceines, sending shivers down your spine even long after the movie has ended and you are tucked up in your warm bed. The original Japanese version is the best and the most horrifying IMO but you can also watch the 2002 US remake starring Naomi Watts. Be warned, this movie is not for the faint of heart! Trust me, if you watch this movie you won't ever forget the name 'Sadako"!

Austin Powers Button

A groovy button from 1997 to promote the 1st Austin Powers movie: International Man of Mystery. I had a smashing time watching this movie :-) Flower power? Yes please!!!! Groovy Baby! Oh Behave!

Firestorm utility knife

A collectible utility knife from the 1998 movie Firestorm. This movie did not leave any lasting impression on me. Don't really remember much about the movie except there was this big fire and there were people trapped inside. Maybe I'll just watch the movie again to see what the plot was all about.

Disney Channel watch

Promotional watch from Singapore Cable Vision to promote the Disney Channel. I like the design on the watch, its the trademark symbol of Disney. Just had the battery changed and feel so lucky to find that the watch is working properly.

Peanuts Millennium Party MRT Tickets

Set of 5 MRT cards issued in Singapore depicting the much-loved Peanuts characters having a jolly time celebrating the New Millennium. Very nice artwork here.

Star Wars Episode II Singtel postcards

This is a set of 4 Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones postcards. Realising the widespread appeal of the Star Wars saga, a telecoms company in Singapore, Singtel advertised their mobile services on the reverse of these postcards, creating more awareness for their products. These cards were issued in 2002 to coincide with the premiere of the Star Wars prequel.

The Devil's Advocate Card Holder

The Devil's Advocate is one of my favorite movies from 1997. Al Pacino's acting is riveting as always and the tight script left me breathless and on the edge of my seat as the plot developed. I have to say WOW Oh My God this is Good! This is one movie I won't mind watching again ......if only for that hot passionate scene with Charlize Theron.
So now I have this prized card holder from Warner Bros which is so cool just to show you guys! Thanks for reading!

Raising Helen Movie Compact Mirror

I kept this item together with all my other movie notebooks without suspecting it could be anything else. While sorting through my items and doing some spring cleaning, I was so surprised when I opened the box to find a compact-mirror housed in a lovely reddish-brown leather sleeve! Who could have guessed???

Limited Edition James Bond Movie MRT tickets

A set of 5 limited edition James Bond MRT cards issued in Singapore depicting some of my favorite classic movies Thunderball, Moonraker, Octopussy, A View to a Kill and You only live twice. Which of the 5 is my favorite Bond movie? Well I love them all but if I have to choose then it has to be Moonraker.

Disney Pixar Toy Story 2 Movie Postcards

A very lovely set of 8 movie postcards promoting Toy Story 2 from Disney Pixar.

Titan AE Messenger Bag

My messenger bag from TCF promoting the movie Titan AE. This animation movie bombed at the box office and frankly speaking I am not very surprised. I had watched this movie back in 2000 and thought the story too slow-moving for my liking. The animation though beautifully rendered, could not save the movie from its sad fate. I read that TCF closed its animation studios in Arizona becoz of poor box office results for Titan AE and another feature film Anastasia. That's one of the sad and cruel realities of life in the movie industry don't you think?

Toy Story 2 MRT Tickets

I look at my lovely pair of Toy Story 2 MRT cards (Singapore)issued in 1999 to promote the movie and I am instantly reminded of how much I enjoyed this animation film and the first Toy Story movie from Disney Pixar. I was struck then by the truely stunning animation and the captivating storyline. I imagined that the first Toy Story movie was good but the sequel is even better! My only regret is that I did not get to watch this movie in glorious 3D. That was in 1999. I believe the effects would be mind-blowing in the present day with most theatres having upgraded and invested in state of the art sound systems and digital 3D. It's really worth watching again. I tell you this is not a kid's movie, its a classic.

The Avengers movie pin

Shown here is a collectible pin from the 1998 movie The Avengers. I watched the movie back then, it was supposed to be a big budget production but it had a really disappointing storyline. Uma Thurman also had a very odd English accent in the movie and overall it was just plain boring.
