Final Fantasy is one of the most successful media franchise developed and owned by Square Enix, a Japanese company. It started out as a RPG (role-playing game) in 1987 on the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) game console and is currently available on a wide range of platforms, still widely popular with fans of role-playing games. Now there are also movies, printed media, toys and other merchandise. The many successful sequels feature different storylines but contain recurring plot themes and characters. I waited in anticipation for the screening of the Final Fantasy movie in 2001 and it was worth the wait. The animation was beautifully rendered and the story simply engaging. For fans of Japanese animation movies and Final Fantasy, this movie is a "must watch".
The lenticular mousepad shown here is one of my favorites and now I am thinking if Final Fantasy were to be remade into 3D for the big screen, that would be really great news.
