What is Astro Boy Promo material for Liang Court doing in Tampines?

I was at Century Square in Tampines on this Wed 18 Nov to watch the blockbuster movie 2012 when I csught sight of this lovely cardboard standee of Astro Boy with some words on it. On closer inspection, I noticed something very strange, the promotion sated on the standee advertised an Astro Boy meet and greet promotion for shoppers in Liang Court. I am still puzzled why this standee  is in Tampines, shouldn't it be in Liang Court? And why was it placed so inconspicuously next to a Chupa Chups dispenser? So many questions....

The Tuxedo Movie Luggage Tag

Anybody watched The Tuxedo movie from 2002 starring Jackie Chan and a very beautiful Jennifer Love Hewitt? Well, in the movie Jackie Chan plays a chauffeur who unwittingly dons the gadget laden tuxedo of his employer, who is actually a secret agent. Jackie gets into entangled with baddies involved in international espionage. Jennifer Love Hewitt plays the partner and love interest in the movie. The movie is  a roller-coaster ride of non-stop action. This is a typical Jackie Chan movie and is a treat especially for his fans.

The Legend of Zorro Movie Mousepad

This lenticular mousepad is from the 2005 movie The Legend of Zorro with Antonio Banderas in the lead of  the masked swashbuckling outlaw who defends the people of the land against tyrannical officials and other villains. He often leaves his distinctive trademark Z with three bold strokes of his rapier.

Some vintage Hong Kong Martial Arts Comics from the 1970s

Shown here is my collection of Hong Kong martial arts comics dating back to the 1970s, notice that they are the first copy of each particular series.  I bought these nostalgic comics at a flea market quite some time back, you don't see many copies of such comics available anymore. Unfortunately I don't have much information on these comics, so if someone could just provide more information or links, that would be much appreciated!

ETC Magazine Promotional MRT cards

This is a set of MRT cards advertising a popular entertainment magazine called etc that was on sale in Singapore in the 1990s. Pamela Anderson and Cameron Diaz are shown here. I depended on this magazine for my weekly fix of entertainment news, its such a pity that the magazine is out of circulation. I do have a nice collection of the etc magazines with my favorite covers and will post on the blog at a later date.

Toy Story 2 Movie Mousepad

This is an absolutely kawaii mousepad showing the aliens toys from the Disney Pixar movie Toy Story 2. I thought the first Toy Story movie was great, fortunately the follow-up sequel didn't disappoint and was well worth the wait and anticipation.

Blizzard Warcraft III Reign of Chaos Promotional Mousepad

Although I don't really play any MMORG games, or should I say onlintoe games in general, I do realise the mass appeal of Warcraft worldwide. This mousepad came into my possession through an online contest. I have watched others play at the cyber cafe and Warcraft looks like a cool game. I can't wait for it to be made into a movie someday.

An artsy looking mousepad, that's the first thought that came into my mind when I saw this Austin Powers mousepad. Kind of like something from the pop artist Andy Warhol don't you think? Its to promote  the Austin Powers movie of course.

Babylon 5 Baseball Cap

This is a Babylon 5 baseball cap to promote the television series when it screened on the local channel in Singapore. Anybody watched this sci-fi series? Well I have to be haonest and admit that I didn't really watch many episodes as I'm more of a Star Trek junkie. But the Babylon series should be good, considering that it ran for five full seasons.
